FAQs

It’s easy peasy to PayZe. To make it even easier, we’ve answered your most common questions.

Buying a PayZe Card

Your PayZe Card can be used to pay for purchases in New Zealand and overseas wherever UnionPay cards are accepted. The purchase amount and charges (if any) are deducted from the card’s available balance. You now have two options and a range of designs to choose from. A normal gift card which has a value when purchased, or our new reloadable card which you can top up at any time using the PayZe Wallet.

At this stage you can only purchase PayZe cards online through our website www.payze.nz or through our partner site www.giveagiftcard.co.nz.

You can also download the PayZe Wallet which comes complete with a PayZe Reload virtual card. You can load value to the virtual card through the PayZe Wallet using Account2Account or by direct bank transfer. The PayZe virtual card can be used for QR Code payments in New Zealand and more importantly overseas in places like Mainland China where QR payments are very much a standard method.

The PayZe card is delivered by secure courier to the recipient’s physical address you provided when placing the order. Note that we cannot deliver cards to PO boxes.

Typically a gift card is purchased with a set value for a specific event such as a birthday gift, and while PayZe Gift cards may be used multiple times until the balance is used up and expires after a certain period they cannot be reloaded. With our new PayZe Reload cards, you buy once, and in conjunction with the PayZe Wallet, you can top up from your bank account as often as you want.

PayZe® Gift Cards may be loaded with values from NZ$25 to NZ$1000.

PayZe® Reload Cards initial load may be from NZ$100 – NZ$1,000 and may be reloaded at any time through Account2Account or direct bank transfer from your bank account through the PayZe® Wallet (allow at least 1 business day for bank transfers). Note: once a card has been reloaded, you can move funds between your virtual PayZe® account and other reloadable cards, but you cannot transfer funds to a PayZe® Gift Card or out to a bank account or another cardholder. Remember. You can withdraw funds from an ATM (charges apply).

Yes, you can order up to 5 cards in one order with a maximum value on each card of NZ$1,000 and a maximum transaction value of NZ$5,000 (excluding additional charges such as card charges, handling, courier, and any GST). We welcome larger orders, and we offer a co-brand custom service as well. Please contact [email protected]

Yes, as QR Code payments are universally accepted in Mainland China, you do not even need a physical card. Simply download the PayZe Wallet which comes complete with a virtual card account. Load funds onto the PayZe Wallet and you are ready to make payments using the QR Code function in China and across many parts of Asia.
