FAQs

Do I need to have a PIN number to use the PayZe card?

For instore purchases, you will need to enter your PIN if your purchase is greater than the contactless PIN limit (eg. in NZ it is $200). If contactless payment is not available, PayZe cards will require a PIN number to process transactions in store. You will find the PIN number under the scratch panel on the back of the card.

How do I use the PayZe card instore?

If you are shopping at a store that accepts UnionPay contactless payments, simply tap the card on the terminal and the payment is complete. Otherwise, insert the card and select CREDIT if prompted to do so (some stores such as Countdown do not require this step) then input your PIN. NOTE: You will need to enter your PIN if your purchase is greater than the contactless PIN limit (eg. in NZ it is $200).

Can I use my PayZe card to purchase fuel?

Yes, but only for payments at the counter at fuel service stations that accept UnionPay cards.

Can I use my PayZe card at Pak'NSave and New World Supermarkets?

Your PayZe card may be used at most participating Pak’NSave or New World outlets. Unfortunately, while many major brands have ‘signed up’ for acceptance of UnionPay, Christmas trading got in the way of the individual store roll-outs. Stores are being enabled progressively but it may take a little while so always check first for acceptance of UnionPay.
